Santiago is a great city!  It is a city where the people really enjoy the outdoors and that reminded me a lot of when I lived in Boulder, Colorado.  The Hyatt is right in the middle of downtown and is a super hotel with fantastic views of the Andes.  My favorite hotel though is the Sheraton Towers located just outside of town.  It has a great pool and is located by a mountain with trails, a zoo and a tram that has great views of the city and the surrounding mountains.  Walking downtown and enjoying the coffee cafes is a great way to watch people.  Make sure you hit the Louisana bar and have a piscola for me!
