Frankfurt is a great city with awesome cathedrals and buildings.  I thought it neat the way new and old met but managed to retain their identities.  I only had a short stay there but managed to entertain myself and enjoy a few beers and bratwursts.  If you have a long layover in Frankfurt, I highly recommend that you take the train into town and walk around looking at the architecture and enjoying the cuisine.  Prosit!!!
